Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.


Botanic information
Leaf: The broad ovate mid-geen leaves have up to 12-narrow lanceolate lobes with an acuminate apex. The leaf base is sagittate and the slender petiole may be long. The fern-like leaves are a feature of the plant.

Flower: The salverform flowers are crimson-red with a white throat and protruding stamens and style. They appear solitary in the leaf axils during summer.

Fruit: The capsule contains small hard seeds that may require scarification before sowing.
