Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during winter, then place in a cold frame or glass house to root up.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are broad ovate with a cordate base and are mostly glabrous. The margin has small serrations with an acuminate apex and the slender petiole is long.
Flower: The terminal corymb is composed with a central dome of tiny fertile rotate flowers and is up to 250mm (10in) wide. It is surrounded by a few larger sterile flowers and appears during summer.
Fruit: The small capsule contains several sedds but the flowers are mostly sterileand the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
