Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Take cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The ovate leaves are tomentose on the underside and the margin is sparsely serrate to entire. The base is cuneate and the leaves are malodorous when crushed.

Flower: The 5-petaled white salverform flowers become pink with age and have obvious ribbed (5-lobed) reddish calyx with exserted stamens. They are arranged in a dropping axillary cyme that is up to 200mm (8in) wide and appears during summer.

Fruit: The small berry-like drupr is cupped by the persistent bright red calyx. It separates into 4-one seeded articles and is viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
