Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during early summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green leaves are lanceolate to ovate with slightly toothed margins and the undersides have silvery pubescence. The apex is acuminate and the petiole is short.
Flower: The small blue funnelform flowers have 5-expanded petals and long exserted stamens. They are arranged in a axillary or terminal cyme that appears during late summer.
Fruit: The small blue-black drupe has seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
