Sow fresh seed during autumn in a prepared bed.

Botanic information
Leaf: The palmate leaves have 5 to 7 obovate coarsely toothed leaflets that are held upright with a short petiole. The leaflet apex is acute and the base cuneate. The upper glossy green surface is glabrous and has prominent veins that create a quilted texture. The reddish petiole is up to 100mm (4in) long.
Flower: The pink to red funnelform flowers have 4-petals with yellow centres and are arranged in a terminal conical panicle that is up to 300 mm (12in) tall and appears during early summer.
Fruit: The rounded capsule is slightly spiny to smooth and splits open to release 2 to 3 brown seeds.
