Take semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark gren leaves are linear to oblong and are flat with a cuspidate apex. They are arranged in 2-rankes spiralling along the stem and have prominent white midribs. During autumn the leaves turn slightly reddish. The bud scales are obtuse.
Flower: The globose male strobili has a short pedicle and are arranged on the underside in the leaf axils. The solitary green pear-shaped female strobili are also arranged in the leaf axils and they appear on the previous season`s wood on separate plants during spring.
Fruit: The cones are berry-like with a fleshy scarlet aril that contains one hard brown seed. The small seed is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
