Propagation
Sow fresh seed when ripe and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are ovate to elliptical with an acute or rounded apex and a petiole that is up to 30mm (1½in) long. The margins are slightly pubescent and the leaves are dull green below and turn bright red during autumn before falling.

Flower: The pink-tinged white crateriform flowers appear solitary or are arranged in an axillary cyme with 2 to 4 blooms during summer.

Fruit: The cylindrical pome is dark red and persists on the plant. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
