Propagation
Sow fresh seed when ripe and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The small dull green leaves are ovate to obovate with a mucronate apex and a short reddish petiole.

Flower: The tiny crateriform flowers are solitary or are arranged in pairs and have white petals that are slightly tinged in pink. They appear during summer.

Fruit: The spherical pome is bright red and contains 2-nutlets and is a feature of the plant. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
