Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in situ or in a container when ripe.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.

Note:
When planting take care not to damage the carrot-like root.


Botanic information
Leaf: The reniform leaves have deep and shallow lobes and a pubescent upper surface. The petiole is long and is also heavily pubescent and the apex of the lobes id obtuse.

Flower: The cyathiform flowers have a long pedicle and consist of 5-petals that are pink-purplish with a white centre. They appear solitary in the leaf axils and flower from early to late summer.

Fruit: The pubescent capsule has 3 to 5-valves and is loculicidally dehiscent. The globose seeds are pubescent and viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
