Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during early summer.
Divide existing clumps during autumn or spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The silver-grey leaves have several linear- lanceolate lobes with acute apexes. The leaf surface is covered in silvery pubescence and is aromatic when crushed.
Flower: The tiny radiate flower heads are arranged in a terminal pyramidal-shaped panicle that is up to 100mm (4in) tall. They appear during summer.
Fruit: The small cypsela (seed) has no pappus and are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
