Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Divide suckers during autumn or spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leaves are broad ovate and is normally divided into 3 to 5-lobes turning dull yellow during autumn. The apex is acute and the base is cordate with a petiole up to 20mm (µin) long. The brown imbricate glabrous buds have 5-scales.
Flower: The small 5-pettled cyathiform flowers are arranged in dense umbel-like axillary corymb that appears along the stems towards the end of the branches. They appear during early summer.
Fruit: The inflated pod-like follicle is arranged in groups of 4 to 5 and is green and tinged in red with yellowish seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
