Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The blue-green leaves are oblong to elliptical and the margin tends to be recurved. Its apex is acute to mucronate and the leaves are sessile.

Flower: The crateriform flowers have 5-leaf-like sepals and 5-petals with a central boss of yellow stamens and 3-styles. There are up to 7-flowers arranged in a terminal cyme that appears during summer and are very showy.

Fruit: The 3 to 5-valved capsule dehisce along the septa releasing wingless seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
