Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Take root cuttings during early spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The pubescent dark green sessile leaves are ovate to oblong with narrow lanceolate-like stem leaves. The apex is sharply acute and tend to arch.
Flower: The salverform flowers have 5-petals that may be notched at the apex and are lavender-blue to white with a purplish dotted centre. They appear in a cyme just above the foliage in early summer.
Fruit: The small capsule produces tiny seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
