Propagation
Divide the rhizome from winter to spring.

Note:
It prefers damper soils and requires strong sun protection when establishing and late frosts damages the leaves.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green pinnate leaves have 3-ternate elliptical leaflets that are arranged oppositely along the rachis. The margin may be biserrate and the leaflet surface is finely pubescent.

Flower: The tiny white to pink flowers are arranged in a conical terminal panicle above the foliage and appear during midsummer.

Fruit: The small capsule contains tiny seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
