Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).
Take hardwood cuttings taken during summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The large imparipinnate leaves have 7 to 17 ovate leaflets with coarsely serrated margins. They are arranged oppositely along the lobed rhachi and both the leaf and branchlets are covered in brown hairs that when touched detach and penetrate the skin.
Flower: The tiny red flowers appear in a clusterand appear on the old wood and are tend to be insignificant. They appear during late spring.
Fruit: The fleshy plum-like berry appears on a short pendant stems on the on old wood and containing 2-seeds that fall early and ripening on the ground. The berries have tarty flavour and are used for making jam or wine.
