Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and summer. Space seedlings for massed planting at 70mm (3in) intervals.
When planting out space at 70 mm (3in) intervals then mulch and keep moist during establishment.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile oblanceolate leaves are soft textured and covered in fine whitish hairs. They are broader towards the top with an obtuse apex and are arranged alternately or spirally, densely along the stems.
Flower: The flower head has small yellow ray florets and yellow-orange disk florets. They are held above the foliage on a scape that is up to 150mm (6in) tall and appear from early to late summer.
Fruit: The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
