Propagation
Sow seed when ripe as the viability period is short and of the seeds germinate quickly but may be difficult to obtain.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mature dull green pinnate fronds have wedge-shaped leaflets that are arranged in different planes in groups along the midrib and the petiole is up to 600mm (2ft) long. They are bluish-white on the underside and the apex is notched. Juvenile foliage is arranged in a single plane.

Flower: The small cyathiform flowers are arranged with 1-female accompanied by 2-males towards the bottom of the panicle. The upper part consists of male flowers only. Both male and female flowers have 3-petals and 3-sepals that overlap. They appear during summer.

Fruit: The ovoid pink to brown drupe is pointed and fleshy. The seed is non-sulcate and has endosperm that is ruminate.
