Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16ş to 18ş C. (61ş to 64ş F).


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green linear leaves vary in width from 200 to 400mm (ľin to 1˝in) and is upright and arching with age. The texture is leathery and the upper surface has a prominent mid-rib.

Flower: The small expanded tubulate flowers are composed of 5-lobes with a smaller downward turned lower lobe. The anthers and stigma are combined to form a column that is turned down between 2-lobes and when triggered it snaps across releasing pollen. The flowers appear from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The fruit is a 2-valved capsule that contains several viable seeds.
