Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings during summer.
Divide established clumps during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The small oval to oblong bright green leaves have small whitish hairs along the margins. The leaves are aromatic when crushed.
Flower: The small 2-lipped campanulate flowers are arranged in an axillary whorled raceme. The flowers are composed of 5-fused sepals forming a 2-liped tube with the upper one having 3-teeth. The throat is bearded and broad and the flowers appear from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small nut is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
