Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame.
Divide established clumps during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green linear leaves are arranged in fans at the base and are upright becoming lax with age.
Flower: The yellow stellate flowers are arranged in umbel-like cluster with up to 8 blooms on a tall winged scape above the foliage. Each flower is enclosed in a spathe-like bract and appear during spring.
Fruit: The small capsule contains tiny seeds that are viable and self-sow readily but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
