Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame.

Divide established clumps during late summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The light green leaves are narrow lanceolate to linear and forming a fan pattern at the base.

Flower: The variable cyathiform flowers appear in succession (iris-like) on a tall winged scape form late spring to early summer. The flowers are arranged in umbel-like cluster of 2 to 8 blooms with the colour is blue, purple to whitish with a yellow throat.

Fruit: The small capsule contains tiny seeds that are viable and self-sow readily but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
