Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame.

Divide established clumps during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The linear leaves are bluish-grey above and the underside is glossy dark green. The upper surface is channelled and the apex is obtuse.

Flower: The spikelets are arranged in a rounded panicle that is up to 30mm (1¥in) long and appears above the foliage on a slender scape from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
