Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame.

Divide established clumps (rhizome) during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green ovate leaves are broad ovate to cordate with a wrinkled appearance on the upper surface. It has a short petiole and the apex is obtuse.

Flower: The small yellow 2-lipped labiate flowers are arranged on a terminal or axillary leafy spike in whorls. They appear during summer.

Fruit: The small nut produces viable seeds but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
