Propagation
Lift and divide established clumps during late winter and a separate. Replant in a prepared bed from autumn to early spring with the top of the bulb just above the soil surface.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green narrow-linear leaves are upright and arching. The upper surface is smooth and the leaf tends to fold upwards along the midrib.

Flower: The yellow funnelform flowers have a tube is short with expanding segments that are lanceolate with an acute apex. They appear in a cluster of 2 to 4 with buds that are reddish-brown on an unbranched scape that is shorter than the foliage during spring.

Fruit: The small capsule contains several seeds but are not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
