Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings during summer.

Note:
Care should be taken as contact with the leaves may cause skin irritation.
May require the crown thinning to reduce toppling in windy weather causing root damage.

Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are oval to cordate with a stiff leathery texture. the margin have 5 to 7 lobes and there is white pubescence on the young shoots and petiole extends to the pail underside.

Flower: The bright yellow cyathiform flowers appear solitary in the leaf axils and have no petals but 5 petal-like sepals that are reddish on the underside and appear during spring.

Fruit: The bristly ovoid capsule has 4-5 valves with 4-5 chambers each containing 2-3 seeds. The small seed has a short viability period andgenerally germinated after fire but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
