Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in situ during spring or in cool climates sow seeds in containers and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).
Botanic information
Leaf: The long lanceolate leaves clasp the stem and arch backward to an acuminate apex.
Flower: The pendulous male and female spikelets appear in a terminal raceme on a long arching scape during late summer.
Fruit: The tiny ovoid seed have a hard exocarp and are very viable.
