Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots, as seedlings are difficult to transplant and in cold climates place in a cold frame.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The light green leaves are lanceolate to oblong and has undulating margins that are covered in fine whitish hairs.

Flower: The pink crateriform flowers are arranged in terminal cyme and have 5-petals and 5-light-green sepals that are covered in fine hairs and has a superior 1-celled ovary. They appear from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small capsule has 5 to 10-valves and releases tiny seeds that contain endosperm. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
