Take root tip nodal cuttings in spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dull green lanceolate leaves are arranged in two overlapping rows and are concave. The base clasps the stem and the texture is slightly succulent. In bright light the upper surface becomes a coppery colour and the underside have purple markings.

Flower: The mauve to purple crateriform flowers have 3-petals and 3-sepals and appear in pairs that are arranged in a terminal cyme. The flowers appear from spring to autumn.

Fruit: The small fruit is a papery capsule. The small seed is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
