Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame.
Divide the rhizome during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green sessile ovate leaves surface is pubescent with a fealty texture and has a minty aroma when crushed. The underside is light green and the upper surface has a corrugated appearance.
Flower: The pink 2-lipped tubular flowers are arranged in a lax axillary cyme that appears during early summer.
Fruit: The small nut is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
