Divide established clumps (rhizome) during spring carefully.


Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green leaves are linear to oblong-lanceolate and the upper surface is longitudinally pleated.

Flower: The nodding labiate flowers have a free labellum that is lobed with a dark pink margin and inside marked white. The flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that is held above the foliage on a leafless scape and appears during spring.

Fruit: The small capsule contains several seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
