Propagation
Soak seeds over night in hot water to soften the hard seed coat. The seeds can be sown directly in a prepared bed and germination will occur within 6 to 10 weeks.

Take soft tip cuttings during the growing period.
Tissue culture is used or commercial production.

General pruning information
Lightly prune immediately after flowering to encourage a bushy habit and profuse increased flowering in the following season. Cutting back at other times during the year may cause dieback.
Cut flower but must have reasonable length of stem.

Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green imparipinnate leaves have oblong to elliptical leaflets with the terminal leaflet that is larger.

Flower: The pink stellate flowers have small sepals that are broadly ovate and the 4-petals that are expanding. They are arranged in a cluster just above the foliage and appear during spring.

Fruit: The small capsule is explosive with one seed in each loculus. The small seed is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
