Propagation
Sow fresh seed from autumn to spring and in cold climates place in a cold frame.
Take semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are elliptical to oblong and shiny green on the upper surface with the underside being dull green. The petiole is short and the mid rib is a lighter green. It has an obtuse apex and when crushed the fragrance may induce a headache.
Flower: The tiny greenish crateriform flowers are arranged in an axillary umbel with up to 10 blooms that appear towards the end of the branches from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The olive-like drupe is green ripening to a purplish colour. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
