Propagation
Sow seed when ripe in a well-drained media and in cold climates place in a cold frame to germinate.


Botanic information
Leaf: The juvenile leaves are a dark red colour and mature leaves are lanceolate to elliptical tapering at both ends. The leaves have short reddish petioles and an acuminate apex with a prominentlight coloured midrib.

Flower: The greenish-white cyathiform flower consists of 4 to 5 petals that form a cup but fall early. The long showy yellow stamens (shaving brush-like) are the main feature and the flowers are arranged in terminal cluster of 3 to 5 that appear during spring.

Fruit: The drupe-like fragrent berries are greenish yellow and have persistent calyx lobes at the base. They are edible and have a rose water taste.
