Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn and in cold climates place in a cold frame.

Divide established clumps during spring and offsets during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaf shape varies but normally consists of three pointed lobes with occasional hairs along the margins. The texture is fleshy and the petiole is flattened.

Flower: The white to pink crateriform flowers are arranged in a flat-topped cyme with a leafy peduncle that is up to 12mm (4in) long and stands above the foliage. They appear from spring to summer.

Fruit: The small capsule is not often seen and the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.

Culture
Saxifraga exaratarequires perfect drainage with the combination of organic matter and reliable regular moisture. It prefers alkaline soils so in clay soils it should be grow in a raised garden bed with the addition of lime.
A semi-shaded position is preferred but it tolerates bright indirect to some full sun. It is moderately deer resistant.
