Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. The seeds may require scarification.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green trifoliate leaves have 3-leaflets that are broad obovate and may have a cordate base. The undersides are dull-green and the thin textured leaflets are leather.

Flower: The red papilionate flowers consists of standard petals that are reflexed that are yellow at the centre and are arranged in a loose axillary raceme that appears from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small flattened pod is covered in fine hairs and contains and numerous hearts seeds.
