Propagation
Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.

Graft onto rootstock during late summer or during winter under glass.

Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are broad -anceolate to elliptical with a short petiole and an acuminate apex.

Flower: The 2-lipped light mauve labiate flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that is accompanied by dark purple bracts. They appear from late spring to early ssummer.

Fruit: The tiny nut is enclosed by the persistent calyx and splits in to four rugose (wrinkled) 1 seeded compartments. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
