Propagation
Take cuttings during spring and placed on a misting bench with bottom heat. The leaves may be reduced in size.
Botanic information
Leaf: The oppositely arranged lanceolate leaves are of unequal size and the undersides are dark purple. It has a glossy upper surface with embossed iridescent silvery-purple markings between the veins.
Flower: The tiny lavender-blue funnelform flowers are arranged in an axillary spike that is up to 30mm (1 1/4in) long, appearing during late summer and are not a feature of the plant.
Fruit: The small capsule is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
