Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).
Take cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.
Note:
It is sensitive to cold or frost prone climates tolerating a minimal temperature of 1.2ºC (30ºF) for a short period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile leaves are narrow lanceolate to linear with a fleshy texture and contain milky sap. The blade tends to fold upwards with a prominentmidrib and the leaves are arranged oppositely to spirally along the stems.
Flower: The funnelform flowers are composed of 5-overlapping petals that are apricot-yellow with a scent that is similar to roses but some plants have no fragrance. They are arranged in a terminal cyme that appears throughout the year in tropical climates or during summer.
Fruit: The ovoid 4 sided drupe changes from green to red then black when ripe and contains 1 to 2 nut-like flat very poisonous seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
