Propagation
Stratify seeds for 2 to 3 months during winter in peat and sow seeds in pots then place them in a cold frame to germinate.
Take cuttings during spring and placed on a misting bench with bottom heat.
This plant is difficult to transplant.
Botanic information
Leaf: The square-shaped leaves have 4-lobes with pointed apexes. They are glossy dark green turning and the undersides are grey pubescent. The petiole is long and the upper surface has obvious venation.
Flower: The terminal yellowish-green flowers are cyathiform to campanulate and have yellowish veins. They appear solitary during early summer.
Fruit: The conical fruit are erect brown and woody (cone-like) and contains numerous winged seeds with only a few that are viable. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
