Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during autumn in containers.

Transplant suckers during spring or carry out layering during summer.

Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green paripinnate leaves have up to 21 lanceolate to oblong leaflets and normally without a terminal leaflet. The young foliage and new shoots are downy.

Flower: The flowers are monoecious with small greenish male catkins and female flowers appear on pendant catkin-like inflorescence during spring.

Fruit: The winged nuts are arranged in a pendant spike that is up to 300mm (12in) long and are a feature of the plant. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
