Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer.

Botanic information
Leaf: The ridged dark green linear leaves are terete and curved with no petiole. The apex is cuspidate and the texture has a fleshy appearance.

Flower: The small white tubulate flowers appear profusely along the branches and are arranged in an axillary cluster with a short peduncle. They appear during mid-summer

Fruit: The slender woody follicle has a sharp beak (dagger-like) and are persistent on the plant. The winged seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.

General pruning information

These plants tolerate a light prune to a node normally after flowering. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate and if the plant has become leggy and woody it will not regenerate after a hard prune. It requires replacement.
