Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in boxes and prick out when large enough to handle.
Divide established clumps during spring.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during early spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are narrow ovate to lanceolate and covered in minute hairs giving them a silvery grey-green appearance and are arranged decussate. The leaves tend to fold upwards and have obvious venation on the upper surface.
Flower: The lavender-blue tubulate flowers have expanded petals that are spotted in purple and form 2-lips. They are arranged in a spike-like raceme appearing prolifically throughout the summer.
Fruit: The seed is viable and may self-seed but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
