Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in containers and place under glass.

Divide established plants during spring.

Take soft tip cuttings taken in early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are elliptical to narrow ovate and vary from mid-green to bright green in colour. The apex is obtuse and the base is broad-cuneate with a short petiole that is covered in oil glands. When crushed the leaves have a strong lemony scent.

Flower: The small 2-lipped campanulate flowers have 5-fused sepals forming a 2-liped tube with the upper one having 3-teeth. The throat is bearded and broad and the flowers are arranged in a erect whorled raceme that appears from late spring to summer.

Fruit: The tiny nut produces numerous small seeds that are very viable.The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively in order to maintain true to type.
