Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate in cool climates.

Divide established clumps during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green palmate leaves have 3 to 5-oblong leaves with deeply serrated margins that are covered in fine silvery hairs. The petiole is up to 76mm (3in) long and holds the leaf erect.

Flower: The crateriform flower have 5-imbricate petals that in the species are golden yellow. The subsp. crysocraspedahas yellow centred flowers with white margins towards the top. The flowers are arranged in a cyme that is held above the foliage on a slender scape up to 120mm (4µin) tall and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The tiny achenes are viable but the plant may be easily reproduced vegetatively and the fruit persists on the plant.
