Divide established clumps (rhizome) during early spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The upright to arching mid-green linear or narrow-lanceolate leaves are arranged in a basal fan pattern and have a strong mid rib.

Flower: The rotate flowers are composed of 3-flat petals and 3-central curled segments with striped markings in blue, white and brown. They appear in a cluster towards the top on a long flat wing-like scape and opening in succession during summer.

Fruit: The small capsule is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
