Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are long lanceolate to linear and appear soon after flowering.

Flower: The funnelform flowers have wine-red coloured petals and a yellow centre. There are up to 12 blooms arranged in a cluster that is held above the foliage on a dark green scape that is up to 400mm (15in) tall. They appear form late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small capsule contains are very viable seeds that germinate quickly. The plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
