Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring if obtainable. Take care with seedlings, as the roots are very fine and dislike disturbance.

Take cuttings during the growing period but may be difficult to strike.

Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are narrow lanceolate tapering to a point. The texture is stiff and the base of the leaf clasps the stem.

Flower: The white cyathiform flowers have protruding stamens and are arranged in dense terminal cylindrical spike. They are accompanied with brown-purple bracts and appear during spring.

Fruit: The small capsule is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively with marginal success.
