Propagation
Stratify fresh seeds for 2 to 3 months at 5º C (41ºF) then sow in spring and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).

Take semi hardwood cuttings during summer and apply bottom heat.

Botanic information
Leaf: The pubescent dark green oblong leaves have an apex with 3 to 7-notches and has a downy spot.

Flower: The flower heads consist of tubular flowers that have 2 to 4 lobes with forward arching styles that are crimson, orange or yellow in colour. The flower stems may arch downward giving a nodding effect and the flowers appear from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The plant produces a small nutlet and the small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
