Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 24ºC.

Take soft tip or semi-hardwood cuttings during late summer to early winter and apply bottom heat.

This plant is resistantto Phytophthora cinnamomibut susceptible to Passion Vine Hopper.

Botanic information
Leaf: The leaf shape ranges from elliptical to lanceolate and the apex is normally acuminate but may be rounded or blunt. The foliage is bronze colour when young.

Flower: The cyathiform flowers have a calyx that is cup-shape with 4-triangular lobes and inside, alternately is 4-cream coloured petals with manylong exserted stamens. They are solitary or arranged in groups of 3 in a terminal or axillary panicle that has a short peduncle and appear during summer.

Fruit: The magenta to red ovoid berry has a fleshy mesocarp and is capped with persistent calyx lobes. It has a solitary seed and the fruit has a sharp pleasantly acid taste when eaten. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
