Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Layering is carried out during summer.
Take cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green paripinnate leaves ahve a short petiole and are composed of 5 to 12 pairs of oppositely arranged elliptical leaflets that are 12 to 25mm (1in) long.
Flower: The small funnelform flowers have prominent exserted red or white stamens and are arranged in an axillary cluster that is up to 50mm (2in) wide, resembling a powder-puff. They can appear during autumn or spring.
Fruit: The pods are flat with thickened margins and contains several hard seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
